I thought this would be fun!
I'm going to post a new science themed cookie, only this time I'm not going to tell you what it is. I want to see if you guys and gals can recognize it.
Now, the pictures are not my best but I wanted to get this up tonight so I took a couple photos with flash and my awful overhead lighting. I'll do a new post tomorrow with better shots of my mystery cookie (Then I get to eat it! Gingerbread, yum). Until then, anyone want to take a guess at what it is?

OMFG IT'S THE VOYAGER RECORD HOLY SHIT. You're amazing. I bow down and worship at your feet. Pardon me while I run around in circles and flail madly at the wonderfulness.
ReplyDelete(though a cookie with the MST3K crew on it would be awesome.)
It's the golden record from the Voyager spacecraft. :)
ReplyDeleteNice work! I really love your science baking!
Deanna
It's the Voyager plate, also known as the Golden Record! That's so awesome!

Wow, you guys are good!
ReplyDeleteAnd just so you know, a MST3K silhouette cookie is on my to-do list....
Murrrr, I'm not nearly geeky enough for this blog! :(
ReplyDeleteMust.....try......harder
*orders Voyager boxset*
I was just reading about the Golden Record on Wikipedia yesterday! This is one incredible cookie.
ReplyDeleteI think that if they had sent your cookie on a trillion mile journey into the universe they would have received a reply by now. Who could resist? Watch this space for the worlds first alien Mr Delivery request. Ha.Ha.
ReplyDeleteOh amazing. Have you thought of doing DNA Cookies? or molecules like water , ozone or other molecules»?
ReplyDeleteOh and a Mobius Cookie:P Ok... that would be almost impossible...
Well Possibly with Chocolate or Marzipan:S
I knew it was from Voyager, but I hadn't heard it called the Golden Record before.
ReplyDeleteAh, you all beat me to it. Nice job. The possibilities are endless.......................
ReplyDeleteLove the color
Oh I absolutely love it! You are extremely talented.
ReplyDeleteDo you have "Serenity" from Firefly on your list? I'd love a "how-to" for that. It's my daughter's favorite!
ReplyDeleteYour creations are just incredible. I keep sending the link to your blog to all my science-minded friends. And cookie-minded. And people who just need good recipes. And people who just need a reason to smile. Especially people who laughed out loud at the containment suits yesterday. Those are priceless.
Awesome. Just awesome.
ReplyDeleteI simply love this... I have an astronomer brother-in-law who would certainly go crazy...
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any smarter scientifically speaking, I had no clue what that thing was. But now I do! And it's all thanks to your mystery cookie! Wahahaha! Does science popularization get any more incr-edible?! WOOHOO!
ReplyDeleteAh, another MST3K fan lurking behind one of my favorite blogs. I should have known...
ReplyDeleteI'm with Flartus...
ReplyDeleteI love it when I find MST3K in daily life... I finally saw all of the Star Trek movies and I got soooo excited when I heard Kirk say "Dammnit Bones!". I also love stocking Bass Ale at work because I always think about "A Case of Spring Fever"
I'm not quite science-ish enough, but I love your cookies :D
ReplyDeleteNot sure what that is, but I love your blog! I saw these and thought of you... haha
